Tara and Steve's Wedding at Crown Point

it's good to touch the green, green grass of home.
yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly.
it's good to touch the green, green grass of home.
well, we weren't in Portsmouth England, but steve had a whole double-decker full of family and friends from back home fly across the pond to see him and tara say "i do." we could not have asked for a nicer day. the ceremony was on the grass at Crown Point (coincidence? maybe.) overlooking Mission Bay in sunny San Diego California.

in true british fashion, steve's super sweet mom wore an exquisite hat to the wedding. a wedding just isn't a wedding without a big hat. i love it!

tara's crown jewels

suffice it to say that steve is not a fan of the color red.
he's a portsmouth lad through and through.
where he comes from the color is blue.
as a joke steve was handed the biggest red rose on the planet for his lapel. fitting that he was standing in front of the double-decker bus. HULK SMASH RED ROSES!

the usual suspects.

tara looked positively stunning. she had a long walk up the hill with her mom and as they neared steve you could see the emotion welling up in tara's eyes. it was a moment so powerful that i'm sure neither of them will ever forget it.

tara and steve are such an awesome couple. they can not go more than five minutes in each other's company without smiling or laughing. that's how everyone should go through life. enjoy it to the fullest with the one that makes you happiest.

quick as a flash the ceremony was over.

you can't help but smile and get a little crazy when you hop onboard a bus with a gigantic picture of THE HULK on it. it's a rule.
the wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round.

So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me?
The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking.
So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier.
Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga.
So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness."
So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

imagine our surprise when we saw mick jagger strut onto the dance floor. do tara and steve know how to party or what?

just when you thought it was safe to go back on the dance floor with your brew...

out of no where some hooligans showed up.
wait.
scratch that.
it was just steve and the lads. they all ran out on the dance floor when a certain song was played.
you'll need to watch the slideshow to hear what song i'm talking about.
needless to say, these guys were a lot of fun.

thank you tara and steve for having us there on your big day. you both made us feel like we were working with family members. we were counting down the days to your wedding and i have to say that it was so worth the wait. we really enjoyed ourselves. it was also an absolute pleasure meeting your family and friends. i want to send an extra special thanks to everyone back in England for not only making the long trip, but for being so incredibly nice to april, ally, and myself.

HOw does it work from here? Order prints off the site? What if we would like some edited further (like black and white- or black and white with a bit of color?)

Thanks!
