when unicorns and narwhals collide...

SHAMELESS PLUGS HAPPEN! hello everyone! april needs a little support from anyone that will give it. this is her latest bit of artwork. she entered it into a contest and if it receives the most votes it will be made into a t-shirt or print that will be sold online at threadless t-shirts. maybe then she can start repaying some of those student loans :)
***************************************************************************************************
if you'd like to help her out, please click the little picture below this one to jump over to their voting screen and slap a big ol number 5 on this. please also check if you'd like it as a shirt or print.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!

i love glass

no, i'm not just looking around the room and saying i love glass. i love glass! especially the kind that's in my 85mm 1.2 lens.
it became my favorite the day i added it to my bag. photographers, if you have one, you know what i mean. if you don't have one, get one. rent it, buy it, enter a drawing for it, trade a kidney for it. whatever you have to do, try it.
it is amazing what you can do with a fine piece of glass.
before i go any further i will show a little compasion by saying, if your name is aaron you should probably look away at this point. sorry buddy.
as i am working my way through pending files i finished these up and thought i would share. enjoy.
last chance aaron. :)

Tim Halberg picked us! / LOST photos

as many of you probably do, we follow, and support, lots of other photographers. Tim Halberg is one of those photographers. he really does some amazing work. take a peek at his site by clicking here. along with tim's images, you can see the sweet prize that he was so kind to offer up (and pick us to win).
thanks again tim!

we also found this little "LOST" gem on his site. if you're a fan of the show (or want to be) peep this.

2 hour premier next week! (January 31st)

as long as we're talking about LOST. here's some shots we took, while on vacation, of the LOST set on oahu before the first season of LOST aired. being good photographers, we "didn't see" the signs someone posted all around the set that said "no pictures." you know how we feel about signs. especially signs that say "no." the set was right off the side of the road. coincidentally, and in no way related, right about the time we saw the set was about the same time we became "hopelessly lost" and had to do several u-turns and make numerous passes by the LOST set before we found our way back to the right direction. luckily we were on the only road in that entire area of the island, and it only had 1 lane in each direction. :)

when we got home we told our friends and co-workers that we had a rough landing when we flew to oahu and showed them these pictures. we added this next picture to seal the deal. everyone flipped out. then they realized..."wait a minute...how did you not only survive a gnarly accident like that, but still have your camera in-hand snapping shots of the carnage." there were a few of our friends that didn't realize we had them on a hook and were reeling them in, but we let em off...eventually. :)

here's rain's first attempt at making a scared face. not quite what we were looking for.

Salton Sea Trash the Dress Part 2

we have to let everyone know about Marqui. she did an amazing job keeping the brides, like Jessie here, looking their best while we were at the salton sea. check out some more of her makeup artistry on her site at Marqui Artistry.
