Kami, Mike, & Kelen at the Balboa Park Pepper Grove

lately we've been like kids sitting at the window staring through the rain drizzled glass waiting for the storm to break so we could go outside. the sun finally peeked out from behind the clouds and gave us an open invite to come out and play, so kami, mike, and kelen joined us at the Balboa Park Pepper Grove, aka the Balboa Park Playground, for a fun little session with their ohana.

kami was feeling like a kid again as soon as she hit the playground.

kelen hit the ground running, but i was able to contain him just long enough to get a couple shots in.

kami and mike were a little easier to contain. :)

kelen climbed up to the clouds. he was just a ball of energy and so fun to chase around.

kelen was caged in, but only for a moment.

mike and i got a front row seat to catch kami and kelen doing a little spiral sliding. soooo fun.

with a little sugar from mama, kelen was ready to hit the slide all on his own.

again and again and again. i'm not sure if he just really liked that slide, or if he just loved cheesing in front of the camera.

either way, he had a sweet view of the Balboa Bell Tower.

we were lucky enough to pull everyone away from the playground long enough to utilize some of the magnificent color and architecture that Balboa Park is famous for.

with everbody starving, we decided to fly on out of there, but not before one last shot. :) thank you kami, mike, and kelen for running around with us and being so easy to work with. we need to get out to playgrounds more often. take care. Merry Christmas!

These are sooo awesome! What a cute family. I love all the shots on the playset. My favorite is the mama and son on the slide. Such incredible perspectives, so creative and fun. Beautiful job. Merry Christmas!

Again, AMAZING. My favs are the sugar kiss, the tower, and the last one.
But they don't look like surfing pics ;)
haha I say that, but I haven't updated my blog in a couple weeks. :)

Oh my goodness I love these! The second and third are my favorites but they're all lovely! Is the lighting off camera flash? It's absolutely delightful. Nicely done ... you just keep getting better and better :)

What a great, fun family!!! You got some great shots! I love the one of Kami and Mike together on the play equipment, and the one of Kellen giving his mommy a kiss! Those are just a couple of my favorites, but they were all great! Whenever I see pictures like these, I always wish I was closer so I could have you take some more pictures for me!
